Itinerary

Day 1: Journey to To Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

+

At 8:00am, we will begin our drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey from Kampala to the park takes approximately 7 to 8 hours. Along the way, we will have several stopsβ€”first, we will stop at Endiro cafe in Mpingi for coffee and restroom breaks. Then, we will visit the Equator to take photos and shop for souvenirs.

We will have lunch in Mbarara town along the way or possibly even earlier, depending on how everyone feels. After lunch, we will continue our trip to Kabale, where we will check into Gorilla Valley lodge for the night.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi

+

Today is the highlight of your Uganda safari as you take part in an unforgettable gorilla-tracking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. At 7:45 am, you will report to the park headquarters for a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority guides, followed by the start of your trek at 8:30 am. You will hike through dense rainforest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family. Once located, you will spend up to one hour with the gorillas, observing their behavior in the wild. Trekking duration varies, and all visitors are expected to return to the starting point by evening. A reasonable level of physical fitness is recommended for this activity.

Day 3: Game Drive in Queen Elizabeth NP and Boat Cruise on the Nile

Start the day with an early breakfast at 7:00 am before checking out and continuing your Uganda safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Enjoy a game drive through a different sector of the park, exploring new landscapes while searching for lions, elephants, buffaloes, and other wildlife species. Later in the day, take part in a three-hour boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, one of Uganda’s top wildlife experiences. The channel is famous for its large populations of hippos, Nile crocodiles, and a wide variety of birdlife. After the cruise, transfer to your lodge to relax, enjoy dinner, and spend the night, surrounded by the natural sounds of the African wilderness.
